Real Madrid

bwin has been title sponsor of the Spanish record-breakers since 2007. In September 2009, Florentino Perez, Real Madrid president, and bwin Co-CEO Manfred Bodner extended the original three-year contract ahead of schedule to last until 2013.

As title sponsor, bwin has exclusive advertising rights on the team jerseys. bwin is also able to offer our users a unique experience together with the Spanish stars. Whether it be exclusive seats with the club president, the chance to experience a game from the bwin box, touring the stadium or seats at the heart of the action, right on the edge of the pitch – bwin makes it possible.

bwin also uses the club's plane to attend all away games. At an altitude of 10,000 metres, guests can experience the Real Madrid stars live and get their own personal autographs.

Real Madrid last won the Spanish league title in 2008. It was the 31st time since 1932 that the title had gone to the capital’s biggest soccer club. The Madrilènes celebrated their first major success in 1905, only three years after the club’s founding, when they took the Copa del Rey. Since then, the Spanish cup has gone their way a further 16 times.
At the European level, the players of the Madrid Club de Futbol, which was granted the title "Real", meaning royal, in 1920, have been fighting at the top since the mid-1950s and have taken nine triumphs in the European Champions Cup and Champions League, two UEFA Cup victories and three wins in the Club World Cup.

Over the past 100 years, numerous icons of world soccer have donned the legendary white jerseys, which earned the club the nickname "white ballet" in the 1950s. The most famous among them include Alfredo di Stefano (most goals scored for the club), Günter Netzer, Paul Breitner, Jose Antonio Camacho, Manuel Sanchis jun. (most games played for the club), Michel, Bernd Schuster, Emilio Butragueño, Luis Figo, Raúl, Roberto Carlos, Zinedine Zidane, and David Beckham.

In the current season, Real Madrid are aiming for renewed success in the Primera Division as well as their first Champions League triumph since 2002.
