Czech Ski Jumping Team

In 2005, bwin signed a sponsoring contract with the Czech ski jumping team until the end of the 2007/08 season. Since then, the bwin logo has been present on all official team clothing and on the skis of the participants.

Ski jumping is one of the most popular and successful winter sports. More than 80 million people watch the World Cup live on TV in Germany alone. There are also huge numbers of people present at the hills and the sport enjoys an enormous media presence, both in the press and on the Internet.

In the first year of the partnership, Czech ace Jakub Janda took the gold at the Four Hills Tournament, a further six World Cup wins and the overall Cup.

Although Janda experienced a drop in form the following year, the rising young talent began to shine. The result: 11th place overall for 18-year-old Roman Koudelka at the 2007/08 Four Hills Tournament.
