Legia Warsaw

If you ask the Poles about football, it won’t be long until you hear the name Legia. The team from the Polish capital is a founder member of the Polish National League (LPN), eight-time champion, nine-time runner up and 12-time cup winner. They have also been in numerous European competitions, where they have often made it as far as the quarter or semi-finals.

bwin has been official sponsor of Legia Warsaw since July 2006 and the team have worn the bwin logo on their shorts in all Ekstraklasa and Cup games since then. bwin advertising is also present on the rotating boards in the stadium. In addition, bwin is listed as an official partner on the club website.

In terms of Polish players, only the best of the best have played at Legia in previous years. Such talents include subsequent legendary trainer Kazimierz Gorski, Pawel Janas (3rd place at the 1982 World Cup), Andrzej Buncol (UEFA Cup winner with Leverkusen), Marcin Mieciel and current Celtic keeper Artur Boruc.

After taking the league title in the 2005/06 season, Legia took 3rd spot in the following season.
