Omonia Nikosia
Since the beginning of the 2005/06 season, we have been sponsor for the basketball team Athletic Club Omonia Nikosia, which was founded in 1948. Today, the bwin logo can be seen on the back of the players’ jerseys. In addition, we are regularly present on the club website and in the club magazine.
Although the club’s football team is a national record breaker, the basketball team has – so far – not been as successful. This doesn’t stop the fans though: Omonia is the “Team of the People” and one of Cyprus’ most popular teams.
In the 2006/07 season, the team achieved a strong fourth place in the league, the greatest success in club history. In addition, the team also made it through to the semi-finals. bwin would be happy to join Omonia at the 2008/09 final.
