Alongside its involvement with the Northern Belgian Club Brugge, this partnership gives bwin representation in the southern, French-speaking areas of Belgium. As well as being present on the LED banners around the stadium, bwin also carries out other advertising activities in and around the club.

The enthusiastic fans get regular updates on events at bwin via newsletters and text message promotions. bwin is also linked to the club’s website, where fans can test out their betting form in advance in the bwin betting box.

Sporting Charleroi was founded in the Wallonian steel-producing town in 1904 and has been known as “Royale” since 1929. Also known as the Zebras, due to their black and white jerseys, Charleroi’s greatest success came with their twice-participation in the Belgian cup final and second spot in the top flight in 1969.

Famous wearers of the Sporting jersey include Belgian national team players Daniel van Buyten and Roberto Bisconti as well as Brazilian Eduardo, who now plays for FC Basel.
