Slovan Liberec
Since the finalisation of the agreement with the Czech premier division team Slovan Liberec in October 2005, we have also appeared on the scene as a key sponsor of a major Eastern European club. The bwin logo can be seen on the jerseys and training apparel of the successful North Bohemian club. In addition, bwin is present on advertising media within the stadium and on the club website. And the club itself got the partnership off to a flying start by taking the national title in the first year.
Slovan's history dates back to 1910 and the club have existed in their current form since 1958. The professionals from Liberec have recently celebrated their biggest sporting success. With the cup win in 2000, Liberec achieved its first title success and, in 2002, the team, joined by national striker Jiri Stajner (now with Hannover 96), became the first Czech club champions not hailing from Prague.
In 2006, Slovan Liberec won the league title for a second time against surprise team Mlada Boleslav.
